Rev. Nathan DeWard
Rev. DeWard began working with FMM in 2014 after 16 years of working in ministry and non-profit settings. His professional life began as a college recruiter, which led him into college and university chaplaincy as he pursued his Masters of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary. Upon graduation in 2003, Nathan was ordained in the Reformed Church in America and served a mid-sized church for eight years along with his wife, Andrea, who is also a Minister of Word and Sacrament. The Lord led the DeWard family into developing new ministries in Florida and Michigan for three years before Nathan joined FMM as the Director of Mission Advancement. "My work is a perfect combination of my passion and calling," observes Nathan. "I love to share how God is changing lives of men and women in county jails through FMM's ministry. Our chaplains are an incredible witness to the transforming power of the Gospel. Countless lives are saved and restored through their work."
Rev. DeWard is responsible for developing relationships with supporters through FMM's print, web, and other media communications. He assists the Executive Director in leader recruitment, hiring, and training.
