ABOUT THE LAKE COUNTY JAIL MINISTRY
-The Lake County Jail processes more than 620 bookings every year and has a capacity of 48 inmates.
-FMM Lake County provides spiritual services both the jail and the Lake County Residential Re-Entry Program Center, which are separate facilities. The LCRRP facility houses MDOC (Michigan Department of Corrections) parole offenders for 90 to 120 days.
-The Lake County Jail can hold up to 48 inmates at any given time, and the LCRRP can hold 300 MDOC inmates. It is very unique that our Lake County Chaplain and volunteers get to minister to MDOC inmates during their stays in Lake County!
FMM provides spiritual care to the men and women in our jail through the capable leadership of our chaplain and volunteers.
Our Lake County Ministry offers a variety of spiritual programs and services to the inmates housed in Lake County.
-Weekly church services
-Bible studies (both group and self-study)
-Christian movie ministry
-Library book cart with faith-based literature
-Spiritual counseling by our chaplain and trained volunteers
Prayer. Please pray that we will continue to change lives for Jesus. We have an amazing opportunity to touch both Lake County inmates and inmates from across the state that stay for a short while in the Residential Re-Entry Program. Our hope is that they will come to know the saving grace of Jesus and will carry that with them wherever they go after their stay in the Lake County facility.
Serve. Do you have a heart to reach inmates for Jesus? Please contact Chaplain Bob at the number and email above. We need volunteers with a compassionate heart to share the love of Jesus to the incarcerated. Whether it's grading bible courses, handing out Bibles and books, leading worship services or helping with our banquet, there are many ways to get involved.
Represent. Become an FMM liason at your local church. We need dedicated people to share the message of FMM with the churches in Lake County so we can get the word out about how the Lord is changing lives!
