Programs

FMM provides spiritual care to the men and women in our jail through the capable leadership of our chaplains and volunteers. In Crawford County we offer the following programs and assistance to inmates:

-Weekly DVD study

-Weekly worship services for both men and women

-Bible distribution

-Self-study Bible courses

-One-on-one spiritual counseling

-Christmas at the jail gift bags

-Special treats at Easter and Thanksgiving

-Mentoring and Bible study are also available after release if requested.

We could not do what we do if not for the blessings of God and the work of the Holy Spirit through churches and individuals in our communty.

Volunteer Opportunities

Serve. It takes very special individuals to share Jesus with inmates. If you feel the Lord leading you to serve in the Crawford County Jail, please contact Chaplain Wade at the information above. We are thankful for all the volunteers who give of their time to share the love of Christ with the forgotten men and women of Crawford County!

Represent. Partner with FMM by sharing our story at your local church. Church support is very important, both for our ministry and for departing inmates seeking to make a new life in Jesus' name. We need people like you to connect us with churches across the county.

Pray. Most importantly, lift up the chaplain and volunteers in prayer. Pray for inmates who are lost and seeking redemption. With your help, we can continue to touch lives in the jail.

             Nichole: A Restoration Story:

“He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul…” (Psalm 23:2-3)

I met Nichole in late 2013 when she was  incarcerated in the Crawford County Jail and began coming to the women’s church services. She gave her life to Jesus during one of  those services. This is her restoration story.

As an Associate Chaplain, I began offering my cell phone number to the women inmates so that they would have someone to call after release who wasn’t into drugs, alcohol or trouble. For months this was offered with no takers. Nichole was the first lady to take me up on my offer after her release from jail in December 2014. Soon she  began coming to church with me.

On February 4, 2015 we officially began a Bible study together, meeting weekly as we could mesh schedules. It took 30 weeks for us to finish our first study but we did It and went out to dinner to celebrate. We are now working our way through our second study.

A Fresh Start

Finding a job after felony incarceration is difficult and Nichole was no exception. She picked up odd jobs for months after release, working hard tearing out and repairing a walk-in cooler, painting, and anything else she could find. Through it all, she was always honest about her past record. Finally, in August 2015, the Lord rewarded her honesty when a local business took a chance and hired her. She is still employed with them 10 months later.

Nichole also volunteers her time at church and has helped with window washing, painting, and organizing. After attending for a while and bringing friends to church with her, Nichole was baptized at our annual riverside baptism service. What a proud and happy day for her, for us, for her new church family and all of her family and friends who came to show their support!

Since then, Nichole has become a church member, and she continues to rebuild a relationship with her seventeen year old daughter. She still has obstacles to overcome but she maintains a cheerful, loving, and generous heart. It’s so exciting to see how Jesus is working in Nichole’s life and I am extremely proud of the huge life changes she has made.

The Harvest is Plentiful

Please consider making a donation so we can continue sharing Jesus and changing lives in the Crawford and Roscommon County Jails. The Lord has opened a door for us into the jails so we can meet and serve others like Nichole and show them hope and restoration IS possible!

Thank you for your continued support!
