Faith comes by understanding the Word of God. Our FMM chaplains make bibles readily available to anyone who requests one, which is just the beginning of pointing people to Jesus Christ.
As our chaplains receive requests for bibles, we respond with grace-filled conversations with inmates about their relationship to God. We teach that God loved the world so much that he gave his Son, Jesus, and that whoever trusts in him will live forever. God continues to love the world and is saving all creation through the risen Christ and restoring God's original intent for human relationships and society. God's plan to reconcile all things to him through Christ includes men and women in jail.
Countless inmates have found saving faith in Jesus Christ through FMM’s ministry. Freedom from sin is the beginning of a new life in Christ where inmates’ hearts and minds are transformed by the Gospel. Our chaplains are available for follow up questions, biblical counsel, and spiritual growth through group bible studies, and FMM correspondence bible courses. Some inmates are eligible to develop their christian worldview deeper through intensive teaching on biblical life principles, called “God Pods.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
